Worthing's Christmas Pudding Race
Christmas Puddings flew through the air during the Guild Care Christmas Pudding Race on Sunday 26th November 2017 at Broadwater Green in Worthing, West Sussex. The annual event saw teams from across the local area compete in the race to help raise funds for the Ashdown Down Centre in Worthing. On the day competitors had to race one another around a tough inflatable course, in fancy dress while holding a Christmas Pudding!
Lauren & Harrison, two of the competitors taking part, have a family connection with Guild Care. Lauren said: "My Grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in February so my Nan and Grandad have been using Guild Care a lot since then. Nan asked if I would do this for her and I thought, yes why not it will be a laugh."
Watch our live interview with Lauren & Harrison, see around the course and hear more about the charity in our Facebook Live Video.
Well done to Lauren, Harrison and all the teams that took part and helped raise money for this great local charity.
The Ashdown Centre, is run by Guild Care, a Worthing-based Charity, and provides respite from caring, for families of children and young people with special needs and disabilities.
