Remember, remember the fifth of November!

Guy Fawkes Night or Bonfire Night has been celebrated in the UK and in particular Sussex for hundreds of years. From late September onwards Bonfire Societies across both East And West Sussex hold individual celebrations culminating with the now world-famous Lewes Bonfire Night celebrations, The Glorious Fith. Lewes Bonfire Night, held this year on Saturday The 4th November, is definitely one of the biggest and best Bonfire celebrations you will ever witness. However, be warned it's not for the faint-hearted or suitable for young children or the elderly. It's a wild night and a bit scary and attracts thousands of people, in fact, it’s so popular once again this year people are being asked not to attend! Don't worry though, we have some amazing Bonfire and Fireworks nights right here on your doorstep in wonderful West Sussex.

Nothhelm's Recommended Bonfire Celebration -

The Littlehampton Bonfire Night - Our personal favourite has got to be the Littlehampton Bonfire Celebrations, this year held on Saturday, 28th October,2017. Now in its 65th year, the Littlehampton Bonfire Societies motto is “We Burn To Do Good” and over the years the society has collected tens of thousands of pounds for various local organisations. The free event (although we strongly recommend you give a nice donation on the night) starts at around 7.30pm with a Grand Torchlight Procession through the streets of Littlehampton followed by the lighting of the Mammoth Bonfire and a Grand Firework Display.
A truly wonderful night and ideal for all the family, visit our founders, Scott Ramsey, website to see his beautiful bonfire photographs from Littlehampton.

If you can’t make it along to Littlehampton or are looking for another Bonfire Night in West Sussex to attend check out our list below. To the best of our knowledge, all the listings are correct however things often change and events sometimes cancelled so please double check before attending any of the events.

Please stay safe this Bonfire Night and please remember to take plenty of coins to the free events. They are often organised by volunteers and any money raised allows them to put on future events and help local good causes.
